Actually pretty impressive. I took a leap of faith buying this cd not having heard anything from these guys. The only downside to this cd is the mixing, which is great in spots, not in others. Vocals are too low and hard to understand, the cymbols are not in unison with the drum mix. With that said, the guitars sound beautiful. Alot of kick in certain areas. I'd say these guys are a cross between Dark New Day and Black Stone Cherry. Good cd.

I bought this album on just one pass of the 30 second clips from Amazon. I knew from that abbreviated listen that I was going to like it. I also had heard the song "Brother Go On" on Sirius radio's Octane. The album is actually more than just that one song. it is filled with 11 priceless gems that could have been released at any time over the past 30 years and been great.

Black Water Rising's 2010 debut album is a must listen for all fans of hard rock and metal. Having never heard of this band, I listened to the samples on Amazon and after only three samples songs, I was hooked.
